Laser Cladding the Glass Mould with Robot

Laser cladding is a coating technology, which use the high-energy laser beam irradiating on the substrate surface and powder, causing the powder rapid melting and cooling to form the desired metallic bond coating with the substrate. Due to the high energy density, high efficiency, outstanding mechanical and physical properties, laser cladding has been widely used on surface restoration to form low dilution rate condensed coating for multiple purposes . Composite material coating restoration has been rapidly developed in the recent years.

It is a broad range of applications in glass mould, for instance, the spear parts in automobile industry, the puncher pin, the red bottle, the perfume bottle and so on.

Generally speaking, the precision condition is strict grievously. The accuracy of this set of laser cladding would reach to the 0.05mm-1mm, the hardness would reach to HRC 60. And it is proper to take Ni base alloy powder, the titanium carbide powder as the overlaying layer.

Mostly, the mould is a half and a half to make up. And here are some place is rather trivial, such as the bottleneck, chock point and so on.
Where it is very tough to cladding for ordinary machine. However, we have the way to resolve.
